Mon 2 – Fri 27 May 2022 NZST
Are you working towards a world where all people have the opportunity to live a good life? Where the way we live, work and play contributes to the well-being and health of all people and our planet.
Changing how we talk about the big issues is one way we can create that future.
_
Run over four weeks, our online Narratives for Change training course dives into the five building blocks of strategic communication to help you talk about the changes that make the biggest difference. Run primarily through an online platform that participants guide themselves through, the course includes information to read and watch, forums, individual and small group activities, and whole group facilitated sessions. You'll learn how to more effectively inspire people to understand, support, and get involved in change using evidence led communication principles and the science of values.
This is a program that will allow you to learn tools for effective messaging with considerable time dedicated to working through your communication challenges with support from experts. It is extremely flexible and you will work through most of the content at times that suit you and at your own pace each week. We recommend that you spend 3 to 3.5 hours per week on the course.

About The Workshop
The Workshop is a unique research organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand. We are public narrative researchers and communications advisors. We draw on many disciplines to understand how public narratives influence people's thinking. We identify how people explain complex issues. We use scientific methods to find narrative strategies that deepen people’s thinking about those issues. We use storytelling tools to upskill people with complex knowledge to craft effective communications. At the Workshop, our core values are interconnectedness, equity and inclusivity, responsibility and helpfulness, and curiosity.
The Workshop is part of the Common Cause Alliance (https://valuesandframes.org/), an international network of people and organisations working on evidence-led communication for systems change.
